On July 23, the Youth Empowerment Project (YEP) in collaboration with key entrepreneurship service providers launched a virtual onboarding meeting for the first cohort of the Andandorr Programme.

The pilot phase will focus on supporting 100 entrepreneurs in a one-year accelerator programme which includes tailored business support services, industry-specific technical and financial support, market linkages and other customized support coupled with coaching and mentorship from both local and global business leaders. The Andandorr programme targets five critical sectors of The Gambia's economy: Information Communications Technology, Agribusiness, Poultry, Creative Industries, and Fashion & Textile.

The “Andandorr” is an innovative business accelerator programme jointly implemented by key entrepreneurship stakeholders in The Gambia. The business support programme is based on a maturity model which distinguishes three different levels of company growth and needs, and rallies the different ecosystem players in the country to offer coordinated and demand-led support that take entrepreneurs from the ideas stage to internationalisation while simultaneously strengthening the Gambia’s entrepreneurship ecosystem.
