Public Commenting on Draft National Standards
The Youth Empowerment Project is collaborating with The Gambia Standard Bureau to develop the first national technical standard on the construction technology. In close partnership with the Earth Builders Association, the Youth Empowerment Project has been supporting to spread the use of Compressed Stablished Block as an alternative construction material to sand in The Gambia since 2017. The project trained 14 Gambian youth and women to study at the Auroville Earth Institute in India. Currently, over 150 young Gambian have undergone training on CSEB production and masonry.
