CALL FOR APPLICATION – START & IMPROVE your BUSINESS (SIYB) training
The International Trade Centre through the Youth Empowerment Project is offering a Post Skills Graduates entrepreneurship training. The training is delivered in partnership with the Gambia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) with the Start and Improve Your Business Methodology. Through this training, participants will be equipped with skills to develop a concrete business idea ready for implementation coupled with other relevant business management competence required to start and operate a business.
The training is week-long and is targeted for qualifying women and youth skills graduates under the Skills for Youth Employment Fund (SkYE) Fund interested in acquiring entrepreneurial skills needed to start their businesses.
The main areas of training include:
- Qualities of an entrepreneur
- Business idea generation and modification
- Business planning
- Bookkeeping
Eligibility Criteria
- Age between 18-35 years.
- A graduate from one of the SkYE partner institutions
- Must be self employed or unemployed
- Have a business idea
- Based in the Greater Banjul Area
- Female candidates and Migrant returnees are highly encouraged to apply
Training dates are scheduled for the second and third week of Feb 2020 in the Greater Banjul Area.
