INVITATION FOR APPLICATION

Are you are a young entrepreneur or an aspiring one? Do you want to grow your business and increase profitability? The Youth Empowerment Project (YEP) in the Gambia in collaboration with Empretec Gambia will be organizing Entrepreneurship Training Workshops for interested youths between 15 and 35 years.

The “Gambia Youth Empowerment Project” (YEP) is an initiative funded by the European Union (EU) and implemented by the International Trade Centre (ITC) in collaboration with the Ministry of Trade, Industry, Regional Integration and Employment and the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The project will improve skills, foster entrepreneurship and create employment for youth along selected value chains.

The Entrepreneurship Training Workshop (ETW) of the YEP is based on the Empretec model which is a 6-days intensive and uninterrupted training program that provides an opportunity for the participants to develop behavioral competencies of successful entrepreneurs, strengthen and enhance those behaviours while encouraging the practice of these competencies in their business.

Selection Criteria

• Age between 15-35 years
• Willingness to complete the training

All the trainings are Tuition Free. Female candidates and Migrant returnees are encouraged to apply.

Application Format

Application forms for the training in all administrative regions are available at the Entrepreneurship Development Centre in Bakau, GIEPA House (Opposite Comium on Kairaba Avenue) and at Regional Governors’ Offices of WCR, LRR, NBR, CRR and URR.
