PACKAGING WORKSHOP ON TEXTILE AND APPAREL

INVITATION TO ATTEND

ITC – SheTrades Gambia Program in collaboration with the Gambia Good Market is organizing 2-days workshop on packaging for Textile and Apparel.

Objectives

Poor packaging, labelling and presentation is one of the main reasons for the failure of locally manufactured products to compete favourably with imported ones. Improving packaging systems will help you better protect and promote your product, improve the perception by customers, strengthen your brand, improve the competitiveness of your company, increase your market shares and ultimately enter new market places.

The objective of this workshop is to provide guidance to women-owned companies in the Textile and Apparel sectors on appropriate packaging systems for micro, small and medium scaled enterprises (MSMEs), for e-commerce and for handy craft textile products. You will get a much better understanding of the selection of the right packaging materials, design, equipment and printing, which will contribute to improve your supply chain efficiency, profitability and the sustainability of your businesses.

The workshop will mix packaging knowledge and good practices with tools and methodologies on how to improve your packaging system for textile and apparel, and will be delivered with the support of a highly specialized Consultant in the Textile and Apparel sectors.

Furthermore, some companies will be selected to be part of a coaching program consisting of 3 individual sessions, 3 months between two sessions, during which experts will analyze your packaging system, propose opportunities for improvement and will follow-up during the implementation phase.
