The Youth Empowerment Project through the SkYE model is offering TVET scholarships to Five Hundred and Ninety-Five (595) youth across the country. The SkYE Fund is a results-based competitive funding model that ensures the critical importance of training youth to meet existing job needs, or in the case of self-employment, successfully meet market opportunities
Under the scheme, twenty-seven programs will be offered across the regions of the country targeting youth not in jobs or education or young people interested in upskilling or reskilling. The programs will be delivered in partnership with the Nine TVET institutions and with the support and supervision of MOHERST and NAQAA.
The initiative is supported by the European Union’s Emergency Trust Fund for Africa which aims to address the root causes of irregular migration and displaced persons in Africa.
