Are you a youth? Are you passionate about food safety, quality, and creating wealth for the new Gambia? Enrol now in the training of trainers course on food safety systems.
The Food Safety and Quality Authority of The Gambia (FSQA) and the International Trade Centre (ITC) are partnering through the Youth Empowerment Project (YEP) to create a new generation of leaders in food safety systems.
Ideal candidates are passionate about quality and food safety and are ready to train fellow Gambians following the training of trainers. They may also be trained as auditors of Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), and ISO 22000 Food Safety Management System standard.
FSQA invites interested youths to apply for a place in the Training of Trainers course on Food Safety Systems, which will be conducted from 9nd to 13th October 2017.
Selection Criteria
Person aged between 15 and 35 years
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Have a university degree in basic sciences (biology, chemistry, agricultural sciences, food technology), management or a related field
Half a page motivational statement to demonstrate interest in the course
Experience in food safety- agriculture-related area and /or prior experience in conducting training would be an added advantage
Fully committed to complete the course and to provide information to FSQA about the impact of the training in the next three years
Fully available to conduct training of youth in the provinces
