The Gambia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) with support from Youth Empowerment Project (YEP) organizes a Youth Entrepreneurship Day during the Trade Fair Gambia International. The Youth Entrepreneurship Day would include many activities to inspire and increase awareness of job opportunities in entrepreneurship among youths.
In addition to the above, the Youth Entrepreneurship Day will entail a networking session with top Gambian CEOS, a pitching competition, and light entertainment from the creative industry (display of artwork and poetry). Furthermore the whole event will be covered by the Gambia Radio and Television Services so as to further expose participants, as well as an inspiration for youths around the country to engage in entrepreneurship.
Moreover, these activities will increase business connection among youths and veteran Gambian business leaders in which best practices and success stories will be shared respectively. This will also boost the confidence of young entrepreneur to sell their business ideas in the most professional manner. In addition to the above a pitching session will commensurate youths that are innovative and creative but do not have a platform in which they can sell their business ideas to various stakeholders(most specifically investors) for business startup/or expansion.
The Youth Day will be held on the 20th of April 2017, starting 5:00 pm till 10:00 pm
