This training opportunity, supported by the European Union Youth Empowerment Project – Tourism and Creative Industries, a youth empowerment initiative funded by the European Union and implemented by the International Trade Centre (ITC), is designed for seasonal workers currently employed in the tourism sector. The training will be delivered by two accredited institutions: Gaye Njorro Skills Academy and SASS Cosmetology and Skills Training Academy in partnership with the Hotel Association of the Gambia. This form should be filled in, signed and submitted to your choice of training institution ( i.e either Gaye Njorro Skills Academy or SASS Cosmetology and Skills Training Academy.
Eligibility/Requirements:
Applicant must:
- Be currently working in the tourism sector as a seasonal worker
- Be a Gambian citizen
- Have completed at least Grade 9 education or have 5 years of work experience
- Show genuine interest in either Bakery and Pastry or Hairdressing and Makeup
- Be committed to completing the full three-month training
- Be willing to apply the skills acquired in their current job or through self-employment
- Provide evidence of current employment in the tourism sector
- Each applicant can apply at only one training institution
